What is Beeple?

Michael Winkelmann, famously known as Beeple, is an American animator and graphic designer. In early 2020, Winkelmann began selling his non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which often sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars per piece (or more). His most expensive NFT to date, Everydays: the First 5000 Days, sold in February 2020 for nearly USD 70 million through a Christie's auction.
