What is BNB Beacon Chain?

Formerly known as Binance Chain (BC), BNB Beacon Chain was the first blockchain created by the Binance crypto exchange. BNB Beacon Chain supports the BEP-2 tokenization standard, helping to transfer BEP-2 assets between BNB Beacon Chain addresses. This is one of two blockchain protocols built by Binance, with the other being BNB Smart Chain, previously known as Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Collectively, these protocols are known as BNB Chain and are designed to interoperate with each other, ensure the transfer of assets between chains, and facilitate the operation of Binance products and services.
