Buy the dip' or 'buying the dip' is an expression that is used in the cryptocurrency space to signify that a price dip is occurring or about to occur, and that it represents a buying opportunity. In this sense, a dip is seen as a short-lived flash sale or discounted price that should be taken advantage of. Buying the dip is often regarded as a strategy for investors who are holding an asset over the long term with the hopes of reducing their average entry price through dollar-cost averaging (DCA).
