What is Cold Wallet?

A cold wallet is a cryptocurrency wallet that is not connected to the internet, or not connected during the signing of a crypto transaction (which is done in-device). Cold wallets most often come in the form of hardware wallets, which are physical devices that store private keys. Cold wallets stand in contrast to hot wallets, which are connected to the internet.
