What is General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European data and privacy protection regulatory framework for the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). The GDPR is also responsible for the transfer of personal data outside of the EU. The main goal of the GDPR is to protect and control the rights of personal data and to streamline the regulatory environment for international business inside and outside the EU.
