The high, or highest price, is one of four main data points used for day trading on the stock market. The other three are the opening price, low, and close — and all four are collectively known as OHLC. The high is generally classified as the highest price obtained during the last trading period, which typically runs from 9:30am–4:30pm EST on weekdays in U.S. markets. Unlike the traditional stock market that has closed hours and closes completely for trading on weekends, cryptocurrency markets are open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
