What is Portfolio Manager?

A portfolio manager is a person or group of people that are responsible for managing investments for a client. Portfolio managers work to mitigate risk, implement investment strategies, and manage day-to-day trading for different types of investments. These can include cryptocurrencies, stocks, bonds, derivatives, and mutual, exchange-traded, or closed-end funds, or any other forms of investments. Portfolio managers often are employed by banks, investment and trading institutions, or other related businesses and work directly or indirectly with their clients.
