What is Sell Wall?

A sell wall is said to occur when a large limit order is placed at a specific price level to sell a large amount of a certain asset. Sell walls can result in a substantial drop in the price of the asset. Sell walls can sometimes be considered a form of market manipulation, when a trader creates a large limit sell order at a certain price, then also submits a large leveraged short position betting that the asset will go down in price.
