What is WebAuthn?

Short for Web Authentication, WebAuthn is an online authentication tool for online environments. WebAuthn allows users to authenticate their identity and verify their accounts using public-key cryptography (PKC) in lieu of a username and password. This is considered far more secure as the WebAuthn-enabled login credentials never leave a user's device and eliminate password theft opportunities and phishing attacks. WebAuthn can utilize biometric data and can be used to secure everything from your Twitter account to your crypto exchange account.
