Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon appealed the Montenegro Supreme Court's decision to grant extradition requests from #USA and #South Korea.
In November 2023, the defendant successfully appealed against the Supreme Court's decision recognizing the extradition requests as legally valid. However, on December 29, the same court reversed its decision and found the requests still valid.
"We have filed another appeal and are currently awaiting a new decision of the Court of Appeal"said Goran Rodic.
In addition, the lawyer expressed his belief that the decision of the Supreme Court "grossly violates the provisions of the law, the European Convention on Extradition and the bilateral extradition treaty with the United States". The defendant's lawyer, Goran Rodic, also suggested that the court was under political pressure, all of which was detrimental to Kwon.
Earlier, legal representatives of the former CEO of #Terraform Labs asked for a postponement of the charges brought by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (#SEC) in a US court.
