VanEck recently filed a revised Form S-1A request with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (#SEC) for its Ethereum-ETF.
The investment firm had originally sought approval for this investment vehicle in 2021.
VanEck also filed a Form 19b-4 application with the SEC last September. The regulator had previously deferred VanEck's Ethereum-ETF registration documents.
A decision on similar requests from Ark Invest and 21Shares was also delayed. Other notable organizations including BlackRock, Fidelity Investments, Franklin Templeton, Invesco, Galaxy Digital and Grayscale Investments have also filed registration documents for the #Ethereum-ETF.

In December 2023, the SEC postponed consideration of most cryptocurrency ETF filings, setting a new decision deadline of March 5, 2024.
It has been reported that VanEck plans to discontinue its Ethereum futures ETF, explaining the move with the approval of a spot bitcoin ETF.
In addition, #VanEck announced that it will contribute 5% of the profits of the spot bitcoin-ETF to support the ecosystem.
