Crypto.com is a cryptocurrency payments platform that promotes the widespread adoption of cryptocurrency. The site initially ran on a dual-coin structure that used both Monaco Coin (MCO) and Cronos (CRO). However, in late 2020 the platform completed a coin swap which consolidated the network under the CRO coin, which is now used as the platform's primary coin for cross-asset settlements, block transaction fees and validation rewards, and as a staking mechanism to unlock tiered user benefits.
