What is Decryption?

As it relates to blockchain and cryptography, decryption is the process of utilizing encoded data or encrypted text (ciphertext) and converting it back into plaintext that can be read by the computer system that created it. Decryption in blockchain often relates to methods of unencrypting data manually, through a unique identifier code, or using specialized cryptographic keys.
