What is Execution Price?

An execution price is the price at which a buy or sell order for a security is completed, or executed. As prices fluctuate in a dynamic market, what is offered for a trade as an order price might not always be identical to the execution price of the trade. A strong execution price has very little slippage or change in price from an order price and is a sign of a healthy asset market with good liquidity.
