What is Legacy System?

A legacy system in computing is defined as an outdated system or technology that is still in use but that badly needs replacement or upgrades in order to remain relevant in the marketplace. In blockchain, legacy systems may be systems that need to be heavily modified to create lasting value and use for many different purposes.
