What is Range-Bound?

Range-bound is a classification in technical analysis (TA) where an asset's price remains in a specific range. Assets that are range-bound typically bounce between a high resistance price that they cannot break above and a low support price that they won't drop below, often in a channel-like formation. Assets can also be said to be range-bound within other technical analysis parameters such as the relative strength index (RSI).
