Google Corporation has introduced new functionality to its search platform. Users can now track cryptocurrency wallets by address and observe their current balance.
The feature covers various well-known networks such as #Bitcoin, #Arbitrum, #Optimism, #Polygon, #Avalanche and #Fantom. When entering a wallet address, the search tool shows the number of tokens in the account.
It is important to emphasize that Google claims that the service exclusively shows the native token for each of the networks mentioned. In addition, the accuracy of the account balance corresponds to the information at the time of the last transaction, as stated in a special disclaimer.
In other words, real-time updates are not provided, instead they are synchronized with the latest wallet activity.
Some time ago, Google's search function began presenting wallet balances tied to Ethereum Name Service (#ENS) domains. The organization extracts data about these addresses from the blockchain lead and analytics platform #Etherscan.
ENS functions as a network service that assigns a personalized domain associated with your wallet address. This process simplifies the search process and makes it easier to access your account, improving user interaction.
Notably, starting in 2024, Google has revised its stance on digital assets and related products. In particular, the corporation allowed the promotion of cryptocurrency ETFs focused on the United States market.
