Cryptocurrency exchange OKX has made an announcement that it is discontinuing its mining pool products and discontinuing related services.
Effective January 26, 2024, the company has stopped registering new users in this particular domain. Existing exchange customers who are currently using #mining pool products will be able to continue until February 25, 2024.
After that, the company will permanently discontinue this service and any related services. OKX attributed the change to a comprehensive evaluation of its business operations.
Previously, the cryptocurrency exchange faced difficulties with its native token #OKB. On January 23, 2024, the value of the asset dropped significantly by 50% in a short period of time, falling from $52 to $25.
The company's representatives have launched an investigation into the incident. The exchange team assured the public that it will release the necessary information to shed light on all the circumstances of the incident.
As of today, the OKB token has managed to regain its lost positions and is currently trading around USD 52.8.
