Activity on the blockchain and gas consumption to create or trade NFTs were also taken into account. Users can use their rewards until February 14, 2025.
The announcement emphasizes that rewards can be increased if additional criteria are met:
- initiation of the first NFT contract before January 10, 2023;
- transferring a generated NFT after November 11, 2023;
- payment of fees above 0.005 ETH per NFT transaction from July 14, 2023;
- participation in WLTA transactions.
Amid the news of the OP token distribution, a 6% drop in the token was observed in the last 24 hours.
Recall that the first Airdrop Optimism took place in the summer of 2022 and the second one in February 2023. In addition, the team allocated 48 million tokens in September 2023. Overall, the protocol management sought to allocate 19% of the total OP to the giveaway.
