OpenAI will release a new version of the ChatGPT chatbot, GPT-5. This is reported by Business Insider, citing people familiar with the firm.
The insiders said that OpenAI has not yet decided on the exact release date of the new model. They revealed that the GPT-5 could be released in mid-2024, most likely in the summer, but expectations could change.
According to Business Insider, GPT-5 will be "significantly better" than previous versions. Some enterprise customers have already gotten access to a demo of the latest model and related enhancements to the #ChatGPT tool, the statement said.
One of the features of GPT-5 will reportedly be AI agents that can be assigned tasks.
Insiders also revealed that OpenAI is still training GPT-5, later the new model will undergo internal security testing. Specifically, company employees and "a few outsiders" will test the tool in various ways to find problems before it is made available to everyone. Specific dates for the completion of security testing were not called.
Recall, earlier the Andreessen Horowitz Foundation updated the rating of the top-100 products based on #artificial intelligence. ChatGPT took the first position.
