Polymarket users estimated the likelihood of Trump winning the US presidential election at 55%

Market and Events: Polymarket users estimated the likelihood of Trump winning the US presidential election at 55%

Users of cryptocurrency betting platform Polymarket have estimated the probability of Donald Trump winning the upcoming #US presidential election at 55%. In comparison, Joe Biden's chances of re-election are 38%.

The total amount of bets placed on the platform reached an impressive $23.3 million dollars. Trump and Biden are the clear leaders, and the prospects of other candidates do not exceed only 2%.

It is worth noting that the list of contenders also includes Michelle Obama, the wife of former US President Barack Obama. The latest rumors circulating in the US media suggest her possible entry into the race. Journalist Megyn Kelly, citing a source in the Democratic community, hinted at such a possibility.

According to Kelly, Michelle Obama did not initially plan to re-enter the political arena, but circumstances may have changed her course. Kelly highly estimates her chances of victory.

Recall that Donald Trump won two Republican Party primaries - in Iowa and New Hampshire. However, two other notable red candidates, Vivek Ramaswamy and Ron Desantis, dropped out of the race.

Polymarket users have previously placed bets on a variety of topics, including a hypothetical clash between billionaires #Elon Musk and #Mark Zuckerberg, the likelihood of the Titan bathyscaphe being discovered, and even the possibility of nuclear war.
