London mayoral candidate Brian Rose intends to give away £100 worth of LONDON cryptocurrency to every resident of the city. The potential mayor shared this proposal on his Instagram profile.
Rose revealed that the initiative would be funded through a separate levy. He noted that prominent financial institutions in the city would contribute 1% of their revenues to create a solid reserve of £1 billion.
In addition, the candidate stressed that the digital token will be able to be used throughout London's transportation network, as well as to pay for parking and other services.
In his statement, Rose emphasized the benefits of the new cryptocurrency, presenting it as a symbol of the adaptability of the financial sector and a boost to the city's economy. He expressed his vision of turning London into an advanced cryptocurrency hub.
Regarding the accessibility of the token, Rose explained that the system was designed to cater to both newcomers and experienced cryptocurrency participants.
Notably, Sretta Thavisin was elected Prime Minister of #Thailand in August 2023, promising to distribute 10,000 baht ($300) to every citizen after his triumph.
