The data from the #Arkham Intelligence platform is consistent with the observations of #ZachXBT. They confirm that the US Department of Justice did transfer 2,000 BTC to the #Coinbase Prime wallet from the specified address.
It is worth noting that in December 2023, a court authorized the seizure of cryptocurrency assets from the #Silk Road darknet site totaling 69,370 BTC.
These assets were distributed to various addresses under the supervision of the U.S. Department of Justice. In January 2024, reports emerged about the authorities' plans to liquidate some of the confiscated assets.
The wallet referenced in the ZachXBT post contains about 29,800 BTC, which is equivalent to nearly $2 billion. The recent transaction could potentially be related to preparations for the asset sale, which was previously discussed in January.
