Solana Mobile recently announced an impressive milestone for its highly anticipated Saga Chapter 2 smartphone. In a short period of time - less than a month since the launch - the company has already received over 100,000 pre-orders for the device.
According to #Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana, the enthusiastic response from users has made the project much easier to realize. He emphasized that the financial constraints faced when launching the first device were tighter. However, once the sum of $45 million dollars was raised, the economics of selling the second device became much more viable.

Yakovenko also emphasized that, like its predecessor, Saga Chapter 2 will include special features aimed at the digital asset industry. In particular, it will focus on seamlessly integrating the device with the #Solana blockchain.
While acknowledging the serious competition from industry giants like Apple and Google in terms of camera quality and technical features, Yakovenko emphasized Solana's commitment to cryptocurrency-specific features. The goal is to create a unique user experience that will set their device apart from all others on the market.
Yakovenko believes that the potential user base of the Saga Chapter 2 smartphone is approaching the critical mass needed to attract app developers in the blockchain ecosystem. Notably, Solana's online store does not charge the 20-30% commission that #Google and #Apple impose on software sellers.
After reaching the 100,000 pre-order mark, Solana Mobile is ready to move on to the next phase of the project. The opportunity to pre-order the #Saga Chapter 2 smartphone will be available until February 14, 2024.
