It has been reported that the Worldcoin platform has launched a new version of its World ID feature, known as World ID 2.0.
This latest version has been integrated with popular platforms like Shopify, #Mercado-Libre, #Reddit, and #Telegram, enabling users to verify their humanity on these platforms.
The announcement states that these new integrations complement the existing ones, such as #Discord, #Talent Protocol , and #Okta Auth0. World ID 2.0 also provides application developers with the flexibility to choose the level of authentication, ranging from lightweight to maximum.
These new levels have been introduced to offer users more flexibility when using World ID, depending on the security requirements of each application. They also ensure that individuals do not provide more information than necessary or desired for a specific application.
For instance, an application that requires a high level of security may ask users to provide proof of identity, while convenience-oriented applications may only request the "Device Auth" identifier associated with the user's mobile phone.
A representative from Worldcoin explained that #Shopify stores can now independently select the required integration level.
"With the new integration, Shopify stores will be able to create coupons and specify the level of humanity required for their usage"said the representative.
World ID 2.0 also offers enhanced user data protection and extended security features, including two-factor authentication and secure data storage.
Worldcoin also reports that they are working on expanding World ID integrations to other platforms, including #Amazon, #Facebook, and #Twitter.
#World ID is an identification system developed by #Worldcoin, which allows users to prove their identity and humanity in the online environment. It utilizes blockchain technology and artificial intelligence for user verification and authentication.
